On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, the Deanship of Student Affairs at Prince Sattam University, represented by the Guidance and Counseling Unit, in collaboration with the College of Nursing, organized a workshop titled "Mental Fragility" on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, via the Teams platform. The workshop was presented by Dr. Nadia Mohammed Wahba.
The workshop addressed the concept of mental fragility, its causes, and its impact on mental health and social interaction, with a focus on the importance of emotional awareness and healthy stress management. Dr. Nadia also reviewed the concept of mental resilience as a life skill that enhances flexibility and the ability to face challenges and recover from crises, emphasizing that it does not mean cruelty, but rather balance and resilience.
The workshop witnessed significant interaction from students and attendees, who participated with questions and discussions about promoting mental resilience in university and daily life. This event is part of the university's efforts to raise awareness of mental health and foster a university environment that supports well-being and growth.
