The lecture also reviewed the most prominent contemporary psychological challenges facing university students, including academic pressures, difficulties adapting to the new environment, anxiety related to future careers, and challenges related to balancing studies and personal life. It highlighted the importance of social support in promoting mental health, stressing that positive relationships within the family and the university community are essential elements in building an effective support system for students. The lecturer addressed several practical strategies for enhancing psychological well-being, including time management, goal setting, seeking psychological counseling when needed, stress management, and prioritizing sleep, nutrition, and physical activity, all of which contribute to creating a safe and supportive learning environment.
This lecture is part of a series of awareness programs implemented by the Deanship of Student Affairs to empower students to achieve balance and success in their academic and professional journeys.
