Under the patronage of His Excellency the University President, Professor Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Tamimi, the Deanship of Student Affairs held the "University Counseling Compass" forum yesterday, Monday, Shawwal 19, 1447 AH, at the University City Theater.
The forum began with the Royal Anthem, followed by a recitation from the Holy Quran, and then a speech by His Excellency the University President. A documentary film was then screened, outlining the forum's objectives and its role in strengthening university counseling centers to build a safe and comprehensive academic environment that supports students.
Following this, His Excellency the University President inaugurated the accompanying exhibition, which showcased the latest counseling technologies in Saudi universities and successful experiences in this field, in addition to providing consultation services from psychological and social specialists.
The forum also included several panel discussions presented by distinguished faculty members from Saudi universities, as well as training workshops for faculty members and counseling staff, aimed at equipping them with the latest methods, technologies, and modern practices in university counseling.
The Deanship of Student Affairs, represented by the Guidance and Counseling Unit, strives to make this forum a qualitative starting point for a bright future in university guidance and counseling, and to be a strong support and a fundamental tributary to support the student’s academic, psychological and social journey, so that he becomes a key strategic partner in building success and achieving excellence.
