The Deanship of Student Affairs, in cooperation with A2GYM Club, held a remote training workshop for female students entitled "Unleash Your Energy with Karate" on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, with 26 students in attendance.

The workshop covered the following topics:

- The fundamentals of karate and its health and psychological benefits.

- Basic self-defense techniques.

- Practical exercises to release energy and boost self-confidence.

- The importance of self-discipline and focus in practicing sports.

- Tips for incorporating karate into your daily routine to improve physical fitness.

The workshop focused particularly on the "Hisoku Dachi" (Attention Stand). The instructor explained how this stand is fundamental in karate; it involves keeping the feet together, the body straight, and the head raised, reflecting respect and mental and physical readiness. The students also practiced executing the stand precisely to enhance balance and discipline.

The workshop also covered kihon (basic training), which includes basic movements such as direct strikes (choki-zuki), blocks (oke), and forehand kicks (mae-giri). The instructor emphasized that kihon builds a strong technical and muscular foundation, helping to develop speed, accuracy, and power.

This workshop is part of the Deanship of Student Affairs' ongoing efforts to organize training and awareness programs aimed at enhancing students' physical fitness and mental well-being, developing their life skills, and encouraging them to adopt healthy and active lifestyles. This reflects the Deanship's commitment to the comprehensive care and support of its students in all aspects.
