<p>The Prince Sattam University team is participating in the Saudi Universities Chess Championship, which started on Wednesday. It is organized by the Universities Sports Federation in its 13th season (for male and female students), and the tournament will last for 4 days, 10/13 May, hosted by King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah.</p>
<p>219 male and female students are participating in the championship. As 147 students representing 30 universities compete in the male championship competitions, while 72 female students representing 19 universities participate in the female students championship.</p>
<p>The tournament will be held according to the Swiss system adopted in international tournaments (7 rounds, the time of the round is 15 minutes, with the addition of 5 seconds for both players with each move).<br>
The aim of holding such tournaments is to spread the sport of the mind, which is of great benefit to male and female students, as it works to increase mental activity, which is reflected in an increase in physical activity.</p>
