The Deanship of Student Affairs at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University organized a remote lecture titled "Early Awareness Makes a Difference: Diabetes in Children and Adolescents" on Sunday, May 25, 1447 AH (corresponding to May 25, 2020). The lecture was presented by Dr. Atiyat Sayed, Associate Professor of Pediatric Nursing at the College of Applied Medical Sciences in Wadi Al-Dawasir.

The lecture focused on several key topics, including:

- Raising awareness about diabetes among children and adolescents.

- Early diagnosis and its importance in avoiding complications.

- Early signs of diabetes, such as frequent urination, excessive thirst, and unexplained fatigue.

The lecture also included a Q&A session, during which attendees interacted with Dr. Sayed to discuss case studies and methods of prevention.

Lecture Objectives:

1. To promote health awareness among students and the local community.

2. To highlight the importance of early detection of diabetes. 3. Providing practical advice to parents and educators on how to deal with early symptoms.

4. Encouraging a healthy lifestyle that reduces the risk of developing the disease.

This lecture is part of the Deanship of Student Affairs' student awareness programs, which include a series of health and educational events throughout the year, such as workshops on healthy nutrition, physical fitness, and chronic disease prevention, with the aim of building a healthy and informed generation.
