<p>Under the patronage of Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University Vice Dean for Educational and Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mishari bin Ayyad Al-Osaimi; Last Monday evening, the Guidance and Counseling Unit at the Deanship of Student Affairs concluded in cooperation with the Executive Committee for the Promotion of Mental Health at the university. The activities of the first forum entitled “Mental Health and Investing in Leisure Time”, which was held virtually with the participation of a number of faculty members from the psychology departments at the university. The forum began with a speech by His Excellency the Vice Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Khaled Al-Asim, in which he welcomed the attendees, and explained the objectives of holding this forum by promoting the concept of mental health among university students, and raising their awareness of the importance of investing free time, identifying the psychological challenges they face during exams, as well as clarifying the importance of student activities in promoting their mental health. After that, the Vice Rector for Educational and Academic Affairs delivered a speech, in which he affirmed the university’s interest in promoting the mental health of university students through developing programs and activities that help them invest their spare time and develop their skills. He affirmed his happiness; The importance of this forum lies in what it contains of interesting topics and successful experiences in the field of mental health promotion, and that the long experiences of Saudi universities in facing challenges have resulted in many positives and lessons gained by experience in the field of mental health promotion, and this will contribute in the future to building distinguished programs The desired goals were achieved, God willing, and at the end of his speech, he thanked the participating faculty members and the Deanship of Student Affairs for holding this forum. After that, the forum sessions began, the first of which was entitled “The Importance of Time and Methods of Investing It” in which three scientific papers were presented, and then the second session entitled “Mental Health of University Students” and included three scientific papers as well. The meeting concluded with a number of recommendations.</p>
