In celebration of the International University Sports Day, which falls on September 20th of each year, the Deanship of Student Affairs at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University organized sporting events involving 39 female students from various colleges. This reflects the university's commitment to promoting physical fitness and sportsmanship among its students. The events were held in an atmosphere of enthusiasm and competition, aiming to enrich university life and encourage students to adopt healthy lifestyles.
Volleyball Championship and Various Competitions
The volleyball championship dominated the event, with teams competing with skill and enthusiasm in matches cheered on by the female student audience. The College of Science and Humanities won first place, the College of Applied Medical Sciences in Al-Kharj came in second, and the College of Nursing came in third.
In addition, the events included various sports competitions, from speed races to group exercises, which showcased the students' talents and fostered a spirit of cooperation among them.
Accompanying Exhibition with Awareness and Interactive Corners
The accompanying exhibition added an educational and interactive touch to the events, featuring four corners:
1. Sports Injuries Corner: Offering practical tips for preventing sports injuries, along with explanatory sessions.
2. Fitness Challenge Corner: Fun quizzes that measured fitness levels, motivating students to improve their performance.
3. Interactive Karate Corner: Offering a live experience teaching the basics of karate, combining self-defense with fun.
4. Healthy Food Corner: Focusing on the importance of a balanced diet, featuring healthy recipes and distributing food samples.
Through these events and programs, the Deanship of Student Affairs is working in line with its plans to promote the physical and mental health of female students and build a strong university generation that contributes to achieving the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
