The Deanship of Student Affairs, represented by the Guidance and Counseling Unit, launched the “Together for a Conscious Society” campaign. This campaign targets male and female university students and community members, and aims to raise awareness and enhance understanding by highlighting the dangers that surround society to avoid falling into what harms them, creating a balanced personality for university students, and enhancing the positive side of During the events, and raising their level of security and intellectual, psychological, and social stability; To prevent the dangers resulting from drugs and anger, and to create an ideal university environment.
There will be many programmes, courses and lectures that will be presented during this campaign, as well as psychological consultations and therapeutic interventions for university students.
After the launch of the campaign, a lecture was held remotely entitled “Self-Compassion and its Role in Promoting Mental Health,” in the presence of more than a hundred students, both male and female, and presented by Dr. Khadija Asiri. Associate Professor, Department of Psychology, King Khalid University, during which she spoke about self-compassion, its types, and components, how to know that you lack it, and how you can gain empathy. The lecture concluded by explaining the role of self-compassion in promoting mental health.
