Under the patronage and presence of His Excellency the President of Prince Sattam University, Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Hilal Al-Talhi, the Deanship of Student Affairs held this morning Wednesday 27/8/1443 AH the closing ceremony of the activities of the scientific forum for the university’s male and female students at the University Administration Theater in the College of Medicine, in the presence of the Vice Rector for Educational and Academic Affairs Dr. Mashari bin Ayyad Al-Osaimi, the university’s vice-deans, the deans of the faculties, the supporting deanships, a number of faculty members and the university’s male and female students.
His Excellency the President of the University inaugurated the accompanying exhibition, which included the projects, research and innovations of the students participating in the forum.
The ceremony began with verses from the Holy Qur’an, followed by the student Khaled Al-Qahtani from the College of Medicine, followed by the student Abdullah Al-Anqari from the College of Preparatory Year and the student Nouf Al-Shakra from the College of Education in Al-Kharj, a speech on behalf of the male and female students. In developing the research capabilities of male and female students, refining their skills, supporting human industry skills, encouraging them to pioneer work and promoting creative and national values, providing an opportunity for honest competition and teamwork and building bridges of scientific communication among them; The march of the scientific forum began in the second semester, and the faculties, through their coordinators, announced the topics of the forum for male and female students; For everyone to start a high-level scientific competition within the faculties, followed by the faculties raising the winning participation in each axis, amounting to 263 participation, distributed on the topics of the scientific forum.
The Deanship sought to link the themes and topics of this year's forum with the "Human Capacity Development" program, one of the initiatives of the vision of our beloved Kingdom 2030, launched by the faithful Crown Prince; The program seeks to empower the citizen with the capabilities that enable him to compete globally by enhancing values, developing basic skills, developing knowledge, preparing young people for the labor market, and enhancing their culture.
In conclusion, I can only express my thanks and great gratitude to our blessed country and our rational government for the unlimited attention and support it gives to the education sector and to the university sector in particular. At the conclusion of his speech, Dr. Thalab thanked the President of the University for his support of this forum and for harnessing all capabilities to hold it, and to the deans of the faculties for their interaction, support and urging students to participate, and the faculty members for guidance and follow-up.
Then the audience watched a documentary film about the march of the scientific forum. Then the sponsor of the ceremony, His Excellency the President of the University, gave a speech in which he mentioned my happiness and pride in participating in this ceremony and meeting my sons and daughters, male and female students, in this prestigious scientific forum. I had the pleasure of listening to a group of researches, projects and films that were presented in this forum, and it is gratifying; The ability of our sons and daughters and their empowerment of what they have achieved and what has been accomplished, and this reflects the view we want in the outcomes of this university.
The most important wealth of every nation is its young men and women; Today we have seen what fills us with pride; It increases our responsibility to exert all we can of effort, knowledge and knowledge.
