In the presence of His Excellency the President of the University, Professor Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Hilal Al-Talhi, the 23rd meeting of the Committee of Deans of Student Affairs at Saudi Universities began with a speech by the President of the University in which he welcomed the distinguished guests and stressed that the Deanships of Student Affairs provide programs and activities that serve students, hone their skills, and develop their knowledge in all fields.
After that, the committee meeting was opened with a welcoming speech by His Excellency the University Vice President for Educational Affairs, Professor Dr. Mishari bin Ayad Al-Osaimi, in which he addressed the importance of the role of the Deanship of Student Affairs in preparing male and female students, providing them with specific skills, and building positive values in them.
Secretary of the Deans of Student Affairs Committee and Dean of Student Affairs at the university, Dr. Issa bin Khalaf Al-Dosari, stated that the committee, through continuous meetings, seeks to achieve common goals and raise the level of professional and organizational performance of the deans of student affairs at the Kingdom’s universities at the level of services and student activities through exchanging experiences and reviewing experiences. Successful and emphasizing the importance of integration between the deanships.
After that, the committee reviewed its agenda by discussing many axes and topics, including discussing the presentation memorandum submitted by Al Majmaah University regarding the “consultation” initiative, as well as discussing the presentation memorandum submitted by King Saud University regarding the “Promoting the Culture of Volunteer Work” initiative, and discussing the presentation memorandum submitted by the University King Abdulaziz regarding the international student trip to Japan 2023, as well as discussing the presentation memorandum submitted by the Secretary General of the Deans of Student Affairs Committee regarding the student trips scheduled to be held next summer, and the countries proposed to visit, as well as discussing the initiatives and programs of the Ministry of Culture work team, and what has been done in this regard, and it ended. Meeting with many recommendations that will contribute, God willing, to raising the level of education and supporting the educational process in Saudi universities.
The committee began its work yesterday, Tuesday, with a meeting of the working group to prepare the executive rules for the regulations of student funds in Saudi universities, to discuss, amend, and add some provisions and regulations.
