Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University strives to provide the students with special needs a simulating and favourable educational environment and encourage them to participate in all the social and cultural activities. From this standpoint, the University has created the Students with Special Needs Unit to conform fully to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's vision for encouraging the students with special needs to occupy a crucial role in the society and providing them with all the essential facilities.
The responsibilities of the Unit are
· Communicating effectively with the students with special needs to identify each case and offering the essential facilities to ensure their good learning in the University
· Providing the students with special needs with the academic guidance and counselling
· Creating a database for the students with special needs
· Creating an educational environment for the students with special needs and making the necessary modifications for them
· Coordinating with other deanships and administrations to serve the students with special needs
· Raising public awareness about the students with special needs
· Obtaining the benefits of the local, Arab, and global experience in the area of services offered to serve the students with special needs
· Encouraging the effective participation of the students with special needs in sports and cultural activities inside and outside the university
· providing counselling in logistics offered to the students with special needs by other University units
